Your role

As a mechanic/technician, you will maintain and repair vehicles. You will inspect, diagnose, repair, test, and document. It is important to be thorough—we maintain dealership standards! We’re not worried: you do your job with precision and efficiency, and in the meantime, we can take care of other things. Mechanics can be challenging, but we’re confident that you’ll be able to rise to the occasion

Responsibilities and tasks

  • Obtain repair orders from the technical advisor.
  • Inspect and diagnose the source of any malfunction.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Contact the parts department to obtain the necessary parts.
  • Record and label parts requested by the customer or under warranty.
  • Examine the vehicle to determine the need for additional safety or maintenance work.
  • Immediately inform the technical advisor if additional work is required, if the work described is not necessary, or if repairs cannot be completed within the allotted time.
  • Document the work performed.
  • Test drive vehicles to verify the quality of the work performed.
  • Attend training sessions and comply with “Elite Support” requirements to maintain certification.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workshop.
  • Account for all company-owned tools.
  • Comply with health and safety regulations.
  • Perform any other necessary tasks.

Your experience

Education and experience

  • Diploma in heavy vehicle mechanics.
  • Experience in heavy vehicle repair.
  • Experience in diesel engine repair.

What else do you need?

  • You can stand for long periods of time.
  • You can lift moderate weights with a little help.
  • You know how to use a computer.
